Authenticity and intellectual property
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service and applies from your acceptance of the version that includes it. Mandatory rights remain preserved. Read the agreement
1. Authentic goods only
Every unit offered must be authentic and lawfully owned or supplied with the right to sell it. Counterfeits, unauthorized replicas presented as branded goods, stolen goods and products with fabricated provenance are prohibited. Describing a counterfeit as a replica, inspired item or final sale does not make it acceptable. Do not claim brand authorization, certification or professional authentication unless you can substantiate it.
2. Sourcing and evidence
Retain reasonable records appropriate to your supply channel: purchase receipts, invoices, supplier details, serial numbers or relevant authentication records. Resale and collectible sourcing can differ from wholesale purchasing; we consider the available evidence in context. Submit genuine, readable records and explain any gaps. Never alter a document or purchase a purported authenticity certificate to conceal a concern. Redact unrelated personal information without hiding information needed for the review.
3. Catalogue and content rights
A CIN identifies a catalogue entry or variant; it is not proof that your physical unit is authentic. You ship directly to buyers and we do not routinely inspect each order. Use only images, text and trademarks you may lawfully use. Identify compatible accessories accurately without implying that a third-party accessory was manufactured or endorsed by the named brand.
4. Suspected infringement or counterfeit
Stop offering affected stock if you have a credible reason to doubt its authenticity or your right to sell it, and contact help@cop.boutique with the CIN and affected orders. Rights holders may send a specific report identifying the work or right, the listing and supporting information. We may pause the offer while reviewing evidence. Follow our written return or disposition instructions for a disputed item; do not require a buyer to resell or ship a suspected counterfeit unlawfully. Approved buyer remedies and your review rights remain available.
